I'm one of the less-informed of the Club regarding China and spent the last meeting trying to understand the orphanage and its needs and the resources available. I would really like a more complete picture so I looked around on-line but didn't find much. I'm not even totally sure where the orphanage is but I collected the info below. The country is divided up differently than is the U.S., of course, and the divisions are confusing.
Shizong is the name of a COUNTY which contains 3 URBAN TOWNSHIPS and 6 RURAL TOWNSHIPS.
Shizong also seems to be the name of a town with a population of 25,000 which is IN the urban townhship of Danfeng.
They also mention a CIRCLE SHIZONG...?
"At community level, the circle consists of four major municipalities and four communities together."
